Neither I nor officials from my Department have met or corresponded directly with the individuals named by the Deputy.I understand that officials from my Department have corresponded and met with the Head of Operations of a company which I am informed is owned by the individuals named by the Deputy.

I am informed that the meeting, which took place on 4 July 2017, was in the context of that company selling retail services on eir’s 300k rural fibre network, the deployment of which is subject to a Commitment Agreement I signed with eir.
