634. To ask the Minister for Health the occasions on which a pharmaceutical company has successfully sought to increase the price charged to the HSE for a product by more than 20% in each of the years 2014 to 2017 and to date in 2018; the product involved; the reason given by the company for seeking the price increase; and the overall annual increase in the cost of the drug to the HSE resultant from such an increase in tabular form. Under the Health (Pricing and Supply of Medical Goods) Act 2013, the HSE has statutory responsibility for the pricing and reimbursement of the community drug schemes; therefore, the matter has been referred to the HSE for attention and direct reply to the Deputy.
