Almost 14,000 GLAS 3 applications were submitted and under the governing EU regulations all must now be assessed and ranked before any applicant can be approved into the scheme.  It is envisaged that this work will be completed in the coming weeks.  While this process will determine the numbers in each tier, indications are that the breakdown will be over 7,000 in tier 1, approximately 6,100 in tier 2 and 840 in tier 3.
