To ask the Minister for Education and Skills the details on section 29 appeals against refusals to enrol pupils to primary schools in each of the years from 2011 to 2016 inclusive, broken down by local authority areas or, if not available by local authority area, by the smallest administrative area divisions used by his Department, in tabular form (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department does not hold these statistics by local authority area. Figures given are for the total number of appeals taken throughout the whole country for the years in question, for primary schools.

Details of the category of grounds utilised by schools in refusing to enrol a pupil are not available and would be a matter for each individual school.
