To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine when a person (details supplied) will be entered into GLAS taking into account they were refused entry to GLAS 2 as his Department did not assign part of their holding as commonage and therefore would have been successful in entering GLAS 2; and if he will make a statement on the matter. An application under Tranche 2 of GLAS was received in my Department on the 16 December 2015. Following the Department’s pre-approval validation checks the application was unsuccessful and therefore was not selected for admission to the scheme.

I understand that subsequent to the GLAS pre-approval validation checks the land details of the person named on the Integrated Administration and Control System were reviewed and in light of this the original assessment of this application is currently under review. Once this review has been completed, the person named will be notified of the outcome.
