Bord na gCon is the statutory body responsible for the regulation and development of greyhound racing under the Greyhound Industry Act, 1958. Bord na gCon is a body corporate and a separate legal entity to the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. The appointment of staff is a matter for Bord na gCon.
