The club referred to by the Deputy submitted a valid application under the 2014 Sports Capital Programme. A total of 2,036 applications were received under the Programme seeking €160m in funding.  €40.5 was allocated to 880 separate projects.

Given the level of demand for funding and the amount of funding available under the programme, it was unfortunately not possible to allocate grants to every eligible applicant.

It is noted that the club has submitted an application under the 2015 Sports Capital Programme.
