Access to psychotherapy and psychotherapeutic interventions are part of a number of interventions which can be of assistance to persons experiencing mental health difficulties. Such interventions might also include counselling support. The HSE is committed to considering the role of these services in its overall mental health service provision.

As the specific commitment in the HSE 2015 National Service Plan is a service matter being carried out by the HSE, I have referred this question to the Executive for direct reply. If you have not received a reply within 15 working days, please contact my Private Office and they will follow up the matter with them.

739. To ask the Minister for Health if he will provide, in tabular form, the percentage of accepted referrals-re-referrals offered first appointments and seen within 12 weeks-three months by general adult community mental health teams in 2014 and for the first four months of 2015. [20716/15]

The HSE publishes, on a monthly basis, a Performance Assurance Report (PAR) which provides an overall analysis of key performance data from HSE Divisions, including the Mental Health Division. The most recent report available is for February 2015, and this shows that 75% of referrals to Adult Community Mental Teams which were accepted were seen within 12 weeks.

The specific information requested by the Deputy is available from the HSE, therefore this question has been referred to the Executive for direct reply. If you have not received a reply within 15 working days, please contact my Private Office and they will follow up the matter with them.
