The prospective applicant contacted my Department in late September 2014 and provided some preliminary information in relation to a proposal to harvest seaweed and pump salt water in order to service seaweed baths at Murreagh, Ballydavid. As part of the pre-application process, further information was requested from the applicant on 29 September 2014in relation to his engagement with the National Parks and Wildlife Service and the Environmental Protection Agency. This information is awaited by my Department .

My Department has recently been in contact with the applicant with a view to progressing the matter to the application stage.
