To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform if he is satisfied with the security arrangements currently in place to secure a college (details supplied) in County Cork; if he is further satisfied with the arrangements to ensure maintenance of the building to an acceptable standard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Clonakilty Agricultural College locally known as Darrara College is run and maintained by Teagasc.
A Department of Agriculture office in Clonakilty has been vacated in 2014. The property is secured and maintained to an acceptable standard by the Office of Public Works and this will continue pending a decision on its future use.
