The Deputy will appreciate that while I have no responsibility for interpretation of the law in relation to road traffic matters of the type described by him, or for the functions of local authorities in this regard, I have, to be of assistance, requested a report from the Garda authorities insofar as their remit is concerned and will contact the Deputy directly as soon as the report is to hand.
