137. To ask the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade when the next meeting of the North-South Ministerial Council will take place; if the matter of the Narrow Water Bridge will be on the agenda of that meeting; the actions he plans to take to progress this project; and if he will make a statement on the matter. A meeting of the North South Ministerial Council (NSMC) in plenary format scheduled to take place in Dublin Castle on Friday, 4 July 2014 was postponed on account of developments in Northern Ireland. While a date and an agenda for the rescheduled meeting are not yet agreed, it is anticipated that the issue of the Narrow Water Bridge will be discussed at the next plenary session.

At the previous NSMC Plenary meeting, which took place in Armagh on 8 November 2013, the Council indicated that it remained supportive of the concept of the Narrow Water Bridge.
