383. To ask the Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government if he will review the possibility of creating a register for architectural technologists who are currently excluded from a large portion of work as a result of changes implemented on 1 March; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I refer to the reply to Question No . 76 of 5 June 2014 which deals comprehensively with the matter raised and reflects the current position. Following recent developments involving separate moves by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists and the Royal Institution of Architects of Ireland to set up their own voluntary registers of architectural technologists with a view to having these registers recognised in law in due course, my Department is currently considering both sets of proposals and expects to be in position to engage with both professional bodies and other relevant stakeholders in relation to the matter shortly.
