229. To ask the Minister for Finance the voluntary and community organisations funded by his Department in 2013, or the most recent year for which information is available; and the amount provided in each case and the purpose for which it was provided. [2873/14]

My Department has not funded any community or voluntary organisation in 2013. In the past there were payments from the Vote for the Office of the Minister for Finance to the promoters of certain charitable lotteries. These payments were funded by the National Lottery. However, the functions that gave rise to the payments were transferred to the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform arising from the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 2011 and a Transfer of Functions Order, while the payments were transferred to the Vote for Justice and Equality, also in 2011.
