A triage system exists in Student Universal Support Ireland to provisionally assess all applications and to refuse those applications that do not need to go through the complete application process. While it is acknowledged that there have been difficulties in the assessment processes, in preparation for the 2013/2014 academic year both the online application system and the application assessment process are being further developed to enhance their effectiveness and efficiency and respond to experiences from year 1.
