I propose to take Questions Nos. 21 and 35 together.

In my Department, Arts and Film matters are handled from within a single Unit. The number of staff in the Unit during the period referred to was 8.45 whole-time equivalents. The Arts and Film Unit is responsible, inter alia, for rendering policy advice to me on all aspects of arts and film. It is also answerable for the administration of a number of subheads, including A.7 Cultural Infrastructure and Development, A.9 The Arts Council and A.12 The Irish Film Board. Details of the allocations for those subheads are available in the Revised Estimates Volumes for Public Services for the relevant years at
