An application under the 2011 Single Payment Scheme/Disadvantaged Areas Scheme was received from the person named on 12 April 2011. During the processing of the application an over-claim was identified on one of the parcels declared, which necessitated writing to the person named, in order to resolve the issue. This issue is now resolved and the application has been fully processed and is clear for payment; payment under the Disadvantaged Areas Scheme issued today, directly to the nominated bank account of the person named, while the 50% advance payments under the Single Payment Scheme are scheduled to commence issuing as and from 16 October 2011.

The person named commenced REPS 4 in June 2009 and has received full payment for the first year of their contract. In addition, 75% of the second year payment issued for the amount of €6131.10 on 23rd February 2011. An area based discrepancy was subsequently discovered following a cross check between the Single Payment Scheme application for 2010 from the person named and the REPS agri-environmental plan.

My Department is currently making arrangements to process outstanding payments to farmers of the 25% due in respect of 2010 in the cases where penalties were incurred and I expect payments to commence in these cases in October.
