As the Deputy will be aware, my Department was established in June 2002 and therefore the information requested in respect of 27 June 1997 is not available. The Deputy will also be aware that the functions previously vested in me, as Minister with responsibility for the Department of Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs, have recently transferred to newly reconfigured Departments, with the exception of functions relating to Family Policy and consultation on Gaeltacht planning matters. It is anticipated that a draft Order will be brought to Government shortly changing the title of my Department to the Department of Children and Youth Affairs.

In the context of the functions currently vested in me, as Minister with responsibility for the Department of Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs, I can advise the Deputy that there were 4 vacancies of the nature referred to on the Family Support Agency as of 10 March 2011.
