The Business Plans for the Development of the Fishery Harbour Centres were published in 2009 and provide a blueprint for the future development of the Fishery Harbour Centres. The Business Plans recommend a five year time frame for the implementation of the recommendations made. I can confirm that my Department has already commenced the implementation of the recommendations made in the Business Plans and will continue to do so within the resources available to it.

The ongoing development of the six Fishery Harbour Centres in conjunction with the implementation of the recommendations made in the Business Plans will support the generation of new business and employment.
