The administration of the Warmer Homes Scheme is a matter for the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI). The scheme, which provides energy efficiency improvements to homes in, or at risk of, energy poverty is delivered through a combination of community-based organisations (CBOs) and a panel of private contractors.

There has been a significant uptake in applications and interest in the scheme over the last three years. This has resulted in very high volumes of applications which have, in certain instances, led to delays in having works completed. A dedicated hot line for the WHS is managed by the SEAI (WHS hotline: 1800 250 204), and all queries, from scheme applicants and public representatives, on eligibility and funding agreements are dealt with immediately.
