The position remains as I advised in reply to question number 685 which I answered for the Deputy on 12 January 2011. The Health Service Executive advised that following a review of the claim in July 2010, the rate of mortgage interest supplement was reduced from €489.60 to €32 per calendar month reflecting the reduction in the interest repayments on the loan. The HSE further advised that this amount is the full and correct amount payable based on his circumstances.
