Domiciliary Care Allowance (DCA) is no longer payable in this case as the child in question reached sixteen years of age in May 2010 and DCA is not paid beyond this age. However the child may have an entitlement to other benefits in their own right or the mother could have an entitlement to a payment based on the care that she continues to provide for the child.

The person in question should contact the information officer in Ennis Social Welfare Local Office who will review her circumstances and advise on what entitlement she and her child may have.
