The information provided to me by the Garda authorities on the number of staff employed at the GISC in County Mayo as at the 31st May 2007 to the 31st May 2010 is set out in the following table.

Performance indicators for the GISC include:

?80% of calls answered within 20 seconds

?Average call length of less than 7 minutes

?Less than 5% of calls abandoned

?Capture 90% of incidents nationally

A review is currently being undertaken with a view to identifying the potential for the further extension of the remit of GISC.
