The Office of Public Works, in consultation with the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS), is continuing to develop proposals for mitigation works that would provide an appropriate level of flood protection for the Roundfort-Hollymount area while taking account of its environmental sensitivity and status.

Subject to agreement of the proposals with the NPWS, it is hoped that mitigation work will commence in late Summer.
