Question 352: To ask the Minister for Transport the way access for the Achill Coast Guard to the Joint Coast Guard and Fire Brigade Rescue Centre on Achill Island, County Mayo will be progressed in view of the fact that the caretaker's agreement has been rejected by Mayo County Council; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Director of the Coast Guard and the Director of Services for Mayo County Council are currently dealing directly on the matter. They met on 17 December 2009 and substantial progress has been made. A resolution of the final outstanding legal issue is being investigated by both sides.
