Question 351: To ask the Minister for Transport if there are EU directives which require to be transposed into primary or secondary legislation; the list of such directives; the date they were drafted by the Commission; when he intends to transpose them into domestic law; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The information requested by the Deputy is contained in the table below. While the EU Commission has, in large part, a monopoly on the initiation of legislation through proposals which include draft provisions, the dates of these drafts are not generally seen as significant and as such are not recorded in any centralised way by my Department. Many years may pass before a proposal is enacted into EU legislation and the enacted legislation may differ entirely from that draft.
