Question 223: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment further to Parliamentary Question No. 215 of 16 September 2009, the reason the €41 million worth of imports from Israel did not qualify for preferential duty; and if she can give assurances that the reason was not due to the fact that these goods were the produce of Israeli settlements. The basis for assessing whether import duties apply, and the extent to which they might be applicable to imports, is a matter for the Revenue Commissioners.
