The significant places of public worship scheme is funded under the built heritage capital programme of my Department. Following the publication of the Revised Estimates for the Public Service 2009 on 23 April 2009, overall allocations for the various programmes and schemes under the 2009 built heritage capital programme are currently being finalised and will be announced shortly.

The Heritage Council is responsible for the administration of individual grants under the scheme including the call for applications, assessment of applications and awarding of grants.
