Question 341: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if he will engage with the Northern Ireland First Minister, Mr. Robinson and Deputy First Minister, Mr. McGuinness, to ensure that the Lough Foyle and Lough Swilly ferry services are funded into the future; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the contract for the service is up for renewal shortly and that the contractors are unwilling to renew it without an improvement in their terms; if his attention has been further drawn to the importance of the ferry services to the critical tourism corridor in north Ulster; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
