The appointment of water keepers is provided for by Section 294 of the Fisheries (Consolidation) Act, 1959, as amended. The job description, role and responsibilities will be specified by the persons identified in the statute as entitled to make the appointment in accordance with the powers set out in Part XVIII of the Act, as amended. I have no function in relation to the matter.
