As the day-to-day administration of recruitment to the Defence Forces is the responsibility of the Chief of Staff, I have been informed by the Military Authorities, that the Personnel Management Section, Defence Force Training Centre, issued a letter to the individual concerned on 3 January 2008 enquiring if he wished to remain on their recruitment database and be considered for the proposed Recruit intake in 2008. The individual concerned responded on the 8 January 2008, indicating that he would like to be kept on the database.
Recruitment interviews for enlistment in the Defence Force Training Centre will commence on 14 April 2008. On the 1 April 2008, the Personnel Management Section, Defence Force Training Centre, wrote to the individual concerned inviting him for interview on 15 April 2008. The interviews will be held in the Conference Centre Ceannt Barracks, Curragh Camp. You can be assured that his application will be given full consideration and I wish him every success.
