Question 493: To ask the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism if his Department receives a daily summary of stories relevant to his Department from Government Information Services; if this summary is in written, verbal or electronic format; if these are furnished to a departmental press officer or press adviser; and if the press officer or adviser furnishes this information to him every day or how often it is furnished. My Department does not receive a daily summary of stories from Government Information Services in either written, verbal or electronic format. Staff in my Department's Press Office are on an email circulation list and receive press releases issued by other state organisations, including Government Information Services, at the same time as they are issued to the media.
