My Department recognises the critical importance of maintaining continuous focus on driving both efficiency and effectiveness from its expenditure. Ongoing initiatives include: 1. Value for Money Reviews (VFM); under the current round of VFM reviews my Department has carried out or is the process of conducting reviews in respect to the following areas:
Title of Review | Current Stage of Review |
Asylum/Immigration Review | Completed |
Probation and Welfare Service — Review of Community Services Scheme | In Progress |
Probation and Welfare Service — Assistance to Voluntary Bodies Review | In Progress |
2. Additionally, the Departmental procurement function has been placed at the centre of the organisation. Central to its remit is to identify and exploit cost efficiencies through a collaborative approach to aggregation while seeking to minimise costs to the organisation.
