Question 437: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if his attention has been drawn to the concerns being expressed by local residents regarding a person (details supplied) in Dublin 9 and the allegations being made by a number of people against them; if his further attention has been drawn to the widespread belief within the community that there has been no attempt to investigate the allegations or apprehend this person; if he will ascertain from the Commissioner the steps that have been taken to investigate the allegations or apprehend this person; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have requested a report from the Garda authorities in relation to the matters raised by the Deputy. I will contact the Deputy again when the report is to hand.
