Question 223: To ask the Minister for Transport if he will furnish statistics in relation to the number of accidents that occurred between 12 midnight and 2 a.m. between March 2006 and March 2007; the number of accidents which occur between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m.; the number of accidents which occur between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m.; the number of accidents that occur between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m.; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Responsibility for the collection of structured information on road safety, including the publication of the annual Road Collision Facts Report, now lies with the Road Safety Authority. I understand that the statistics relating to 2005 are currently being analysed and authenticated in preparation for publication.
