Question 123: To ask the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs the level of funding which has been provided in County Cork through his Department's community development programme since 2002; the groups which have delivered the programme locally on behalf of the Government in the county; and if it is planned that they will continue to be involved over the course of the National Development Plan 2007 to 2013. Under the Community Development programme, multi-annual funding is provided to locally based voluntary and community groups involved in anti-poverty and social inclusion initiatives. Since June 2002 my Department has provided funding of approx €6.8 million to Community Development Projects in County Cork. Details of the funding and the projects involved are shown in the table below.
It is planned that projects will continue to be funded under the new National Development Plan.
