Question 1833: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government the local authorities that have achieved the current 3% target for employing persons with a disability in the local government sector; if he will set out the authority that has the best record in this area and the authority that has the worst record in this area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The local authority sector as a whole has exceeded the Government's target of 3% for the employment of people with disabilities in the public sector each year since 2001. The information requested is set out in the following table for 2005, the latest year for which statistics are available.
