In the 12 month period to 20 November 2006 the total energy costs to my Department were some €3.8 million. The main suppliers of energy to my Department are ESB, An Bord Gáis, FloGas and Texaco.
I would add that my Department is also examining the question of renewable fuels, and in fact is converting its Wexford headquarters to a woodchip heating system. The new system has been installed and will be commissioned very shortly.
