Question 520: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if vehicles used by his Department use fuel from a particular fuel supplier; if so, the name of that supplier; if departmental staff are issued with fuel cards in connection with their duties; if so, the person who is the supplier of this service; and the amount it cost his Department in the past five years. My Department has a number of vehicles in use throughout the country for which authorised staff are issued with fuel cards. Fuel is purchased principally from Esso and Statoil outlets and costs arising since the beginning of 2002 amount to €145,126. My Department has also more recently purchased a quantity of biofuel from Biogreen Energy Products Ltd. at a cost of €1,815.
