I understand that the study referred to by the Deputy regarding the use of Irish in the Gaeltacht is almost completed. As agreed with the consultants carrying out the work, interim progress reports have been received on a regular basis and I understand that the final element of the report and its recommendations will be furnished to my Department very shortly. As I have already outlined to the House, all of the findings and proposals emerging from the study will require careful and considered examination by my Department and no decisions will be made on foot of the study until that process has been completed.
