Question 431: To ask the Minister for Health and Children the role she expects the Naas General Hospital to play in the future delivery of health services; the number of wards currently available for occupation; the numbers occupied; the extent to which the full scale of services as originally anticipated are currently available in the hospital; if all theatres are currently functioning in accordance with original intentions; if it is intended to increase the full bed complement in accordance with population requirements; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Deputy's question relates to the management and delivery of health and personal social services, which are the responsibility of the Health Service Executive under the Health Act 2004. Accordingly, my Department has requested the Parliamentary Affairs Division of the Executive to arrange to have this matter investigated and to have a reply issued directly to the Deputy.
