Question 452: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will provide the information requested in Parliamentary Question No. 88 of 10 May 2006 regarding the number of non-Irish, non-British European Union nationals in prison here for each of the years since 2000 to date in 2006; the number released in each of these years; the number considered for deportation under section 3 of the Immigration Act 1999; and the number of those deported under that section. As indicated in my recent reply to the Deputy, the information sought covers a number of sources. However, my Department is currently compiling the data which will then require collation and cross-referencing. Once this information is sourced, I will furnish the information to the Deputy as soon as possible.
