The Irish Prison Service has commissioned various surveys and others studies on the lands referred to. These studies and surveys are underway at present and are due to continue for some time to come. The decision to terminate the shooting rights of the gun club referred to by the Deputy was, therefore, an operational one by the Irish Prison Service, taken for security and safety reasons. While it is not likely that it will be possible to reverse this decision, the matter will be kept under review.
