Question 134: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if his attention has been drawn to the first guide which has been produced in Cork advising child care providers all over Munster on the way in which to support the children of asylum seekers and refugees; and if he will consider commissioning the publication of such a national guide by his Department in view of the distress which these children are likely to be suffering due to their circumstances. I am aware of the "Guide to help childcare staff support refugee children and educational services", which has been developed by Cork City child care committee. I welcome any development which supports vulnerable children and promotes best practice. I am aware of other guides to working with culturally diverse children and am supportive of any such initiative.
