The Village Project is a community-based day assessment service that offers a comprehensive assessment to young people from the Finglas, Ballymun and surrounding areas. The Village Project was funded by my Department until 1 January 2004 when responsibility for funding this project transferred to the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform. My Department continues to provide the services of a full-time teacher to the project.
