Question 772: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if it is proper that a Garda participate in an interrogation of a person suspected of dealing drugs at a time when the Garda is acting in a private capacity; if any such instance has been drawn to his attention; if so, if he discussed it with the Garda Commissioner; and if such actions are grounds for disciplinary action to be taken against the Garda in question. While I am always anxious to reply comprehensively to questions from Deputies, I regret that in this instance, without specific details being made available by the Deputy, it is not possible for me to comment in relation to the incident to which he refers.
