I have assumed, because of the reference number provided by the Deputy, that he is referring to an application for naturalisation by the person concerned which was received in the citizenship section of my Department on 17 May 2004. The average processing time for such applications is currently 24 months. Consequently, it is anticipated that the application should be finalised in or around May 2006. I will inform the Deputy and the applicant as soon as I have reached a decision in this case.
