Question 212: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children her plans to progress the proposals made at a meeting (details supplied) on autistic spectrum in her Department in 2003; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [24050/04]

The individuals who attended the meeting in question were advised that the most appropriate way to initially advance the main issue discussed was to document in more detail the background and supporting information on the approach being taken and the results achieved to date. They were also advised that they should liaise with the relevant health services in their region with a view to discussing with them the possibility of a broader examination of this matter.
