Question 411: To ask the Minister for Health and Children the number of applications received by the SWAHB in relation to the advisory service for children in their homes by their families; the number of staff dealing with the service; the status of the staff; the funding spent in relation to the service for each of the past three years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Under the Child Care Act 1991 health boards have a statutory responsibility for the provision of services of the type referred to by the Deputy. My Department has asked the regional chief executive of the Eastern Regional Health Authority to liaise with the South Western Area Health Board on the matter raised and to respond to the Deputy directly.
