I have received notice from Senator Brian Ó Domhnaill that, on the motion for the Commencement of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Defence to address levels of remuneration and working conditions within the Defence Forces and to give consideration to having the remuneration matter addressed outside the parameters of the Public Service Pay Commission.

I have also received notice from Senator Colm Burke of the following matter:

The need for the Minister of Health to ensure appropriate initiatives are put in place by the HSE to reduce the number of patients who do not attend for outpatient appointments.

I have also received notice from Senator Victor Boyhan of the following matter:

The need for Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government to outline the plans and timeline for the introduction of a new independent office of the planning regulator.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion and they will be taken now.
